Edge Protection Tapes

To permit simple on-line customer processing and effective integration into the process, edge protection tapes are pre-coated with thermally reactive bonding (also refer to “Development / Engineering”). Depending on the application, these tapes are manufactured using warp-
or weft knit technologies or flocked foil tapes. According to their function, they can have dirt resistant or hydrophobic finishes.

The main application areas of textile based edge protection tapes are in particular door sill/frame sealing systems, the internal area
of the door and also in sunroof and car boot seals.

The main application area for flocked edge protection tapes is in light shaft sealing systems. However, due to the resulting numerous customer process advantages, colour coordinated flocked edge protection tapes are also used for door sill/frame- and sunroof seals.
