Special Textiles from Althengstett in Shanghai / STRÄHLE + HESS exhibiting in Far East for the first time

Althengstett (k-w). STRÄHLE + HESS, an international leader in the field of special textiles, is undertaking its first foray toward the Far East. The enterprise from Althengstett will be represented at the CINTE Techtextil in Shanghai from October 19 – 21, 2010. The aim of the mutual booth supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology at Shanghai’s New International Expo Centre is to systematically encourage contacts with Chinese partners tailored specifically to customers’ needs.

”The potential for technical textiles in China is enormous“, says CEO Kirsten Schönharting, “and we gladly take this opportunity to present ourselves at the second largest industrial fair center in the People’s Republic of China.” The CINTE Techtextil is China’s most prominent event in the field, which is of increasing significance in China. In 2009, 35 per cent more automobiles were sold in the country than in 2008. Furthermore, the Chinese government has initiated a program investing billions in environmental protection and transportation infrastructures.

With this exhibition, explains Kirsten Schönharting, the firm wishes to visit its Chinese customers and intensify existing business contacts. STRÄHLE + HESS provides product conceptions particularly for German premium brands and is further expanding its activities into the Far East. Over time, the Asian market will be more and more important for STRÄHLE + HESS, the CEO says; currently, the customers there are being served directly from Althengstett. By participating in the Shanghai fair, the firm also hopes to establish new contacts.

In China, the innovative trend setters from the Black Forest will be illustrating some of the 1001 options for textile applications, which STRÄHLE + HESS calls “texspiration”, and also emphasizing the value of textiles in creating surprisingly simple solutions to technical challenges (“texperience”). “This will enable us to set trends in China, as well“, as Senior Key Account Manager Udo Sawall assures, “and demonstrate our innovative prowess to those attending the Shanghai fair.”
