STRÄHLE+HESS takes over knitwear specialist STING from Bisingen

Unternehmen

STRÄHLE+HESS GmbH, Althengstett, has taken over the significant assets of STING GmbH & Co. KG, STING Maschinenverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG and STING Grundstücksverwaltung GmbH & Co. KG in the form of a so-called asset deal resulting from the insolvency of the STING companies. Still awaiting formal approval, the takeover will allow 27 jobs to be maintained in Bisingen. Furthermore, the international contacts of the new partner in Althengstett offer the good possibility of obtaining additional orders and thus creating new jobs at the STING site in Bisingen.

STRÄHLE+HESS is a successful company specialising in innovative textile applications for vehicle interiors. The company employs 180 people at sites in Germany and the US. Its customers are mainly car manufacturers and their tier 1 suppliers. The company enjoys considerable, long-standing development and production expertise in the field of knitting and weaving.

A well-known supplier of large-area textiles, STING primarily works in the automobile sector. The Bisingen-based company (in the district of Zollernalb in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg) boasts years of experience and a high level of expertise in warping and knitting technologies. By acquiring STING’s business activities, STRÄHLE+HESS will now be able to serve its customers abroad as the only provider of textile vehicle interior solutions specialising in the automobile sector offering circular-knitted, warp-knitted and woven products.

On the sellers’ side, the creditors’ interests were represented by the insolvency administrators Brinkmann & Partner and Kästle, Sauter, Dorn & Kollegen.
