Circular knitting

Circular-knitted fabrics are used inside vehicles, for example as the basic material for ceilings, columns, rear shelves, head restraints and door trims. The requirements relating to the safety standards, comfort, functionality, design and durability of these products are increasing.

Flat knitting

Flat knitting offers a range of shaping possibilities for the production of knitted fabrics. By changing the number of stitches, a wide range of shape variations is possible while changing the knit elements facilitates precise adjustments to comply with the target specifications.

Warp knitting

In contrast to weft knitting, warp knitting involves the thread moving vertically forming a stitch wale with the adjacent thread. Warp-knitted fabrics can only be produced by machine.

Our warp-knitted fabrics are typically used for the headliners, pillars and rear shelves.

Warping

Warping involves the processing of a large number of threads. The result is a clutch of parallel warp threads that are all the same length.
The yarn from a specific number of bobbins is combined to form a warp beam.
Warping is one of the most important forms of material preparation in knitting and weaving.

Narrow Fabric Weaving

We draft solution concepts for our customers as part of strategic partnerships for manufacturing décor and functional textiles.
In particular, hose straps and trims for seats and belt straps in various tension categories are developed and produced by STRÄHLE+HESS in collaboration with our partners’ specialist departments.
